Interior design Bergen N.H. (the Netherlands)
Type of house: freestanding house
Assignment: interior design
For this beautiful project of a free standing house in Bergen, the interior designer / interior stylist was asked to make an interior plan for the living room and hallway. A number of wishes and aspects were important in deciding on the colours and materials.
The house, built in 1930s with stained glass and a bay window, was totally empty when the designer / stylist visited it. With the preferences of the residents we chose a marmoleum floor, mainly neutral colours with an accent wall, window decoration with possibilities for privacy and of course retaining the 1930s characteristics.
After the design and production, the living room became cosy thanks to the 1930s features and modern thanks to the floor, the basic colours grey, brown and an accent colour (mustard colour) on the back wall.
During the creation of the layout plan, a cabinet design by De Makers Collectief, based in Heiloo, was taken into account. The colour composition of the cabinet was made in collaboration with the interior designer / interior stylist.
